The UK drainage equipment rental market has continued to grow as contractors realise the benefits of either hiring on a short-term basis to meet increased demand or taking on a longer-term rental in order to fulfil contracts. This is particularly true of sub-contractors working under utility company framework agreements, where the on-demand hiring of operation-ready vehicles and equipment can be a good way to manage budgets based on the requirements of utility companies.

In light of the new emissions regulations and the launch of inner-city Low Emission Zones it is becoming increasingly incumbent on drainage contractors to purchase new machinery that is Stage V compliant.
