The unit’s powerful jetting capability is enhanced with the RioPulse pulsator system for efficient operation in cable runs up to 350m. This compact and manoeuvrable jetvac is well suited to operation in city streets and restricted access areas and is a true single-resolution vehicle for the drainage industry.

RioPulse pulsator system

The Duct Desilting Jetvac Combination unit is fitted with Rioned’s RioPulse pulsator system to propel the high-pressure hose quicker and further down the cable. Included as standard, the unit creates a vibrating or pulsing action when using pressurised water, which reduces hose drag by minimising the surface contact of the hose. This can reduce water usage by a third, which is particularly useful for longer desilting tasks.

Compact and versatile

Rioned’s 7.5t Combination Units have proved immensely popular since their introduction to the UK market, with over 100 machines in operation across the country. Offering a performance comparable to larger jetvac’s, these compact units can access rural areas, off-road terrain and restricted access sites with ease thanks to a lightweight Mitsubishi Fuso Canter chassis. The Duct Desilting Combination Unit features shuttered storage to house ancillary equipment and PPE and can be supplied with an additional high-pressure hose length for longer cable runs up to 350m. The unit can be controlled by the award-winning eControl+ interface and 9-Channel RioMote radio remote control for safe single-person operation.

The RioCom is a fantastic bit of kit and we have about a 75% successful clear rate using the equipment. On one occasion we cleared silt from a 350m line in a single run. We obviously had to keep adding hose to accomplish it, but the unit will handle 250m runs all day.

MDL Plant Managing Director Paul Snow was instrumental in the development of the 7.5t Duct Desilting Combination Unit, which his company use to undertake a range of cable duct desilting work across East Anglia. Inviting him over to our Netherlands HQ, the Rioned team were able to design a unit that meets the needs of those in the sector, with a large water capacity and high performance allowing continuous operation for over 75 minutes without the need for additional water, more than enough for the toughest desilting tasks.

Duct Desilting Tanker Finance

COMPACT, VERSATILE AND POWERFUL - THE SMALL TANKER THAT’S CHANGING THE GAME

Designed for single-person operation, the RioCom 7.5t Jetvac has proved a huge success since its launch in 2019. The Stage V and ULEZ emissions-compliant combination unit is mounted on a Fuso Mitsubishi Fuso Canter chassis and uses PTO (Power take-off) from the vehicle’s Euro 6 turbocharged engine to power the high-performance Jurop PNR 82 air-cooled vacuum pump and Triplex plunger jetting pump.
